Scholarships

The goal of the Business Education Partnership Scholarships is to enable students to continue their education in the business field. Scholarships will be awarded to one qualifying student at each of the following high schools as well as one student from a participating college:

• One student from each of these schools -
• Brooklyn Center Senior High
• Champlin Park Senior High
• Maple Grove Senior High
• Osseo Senior High
• Osseo Area Learning Center
• Park Center Senior High
• One student only selected from one of these colleges -
• Hennepin Technical College
• Minnesota School of Business
• North Hennepin Community College
• Rasmussen College

Student Scholarship
The Business Education Partnership Committee of the North Hennepin Area Chamber of Commerce announces the availability of six $500 scholarships for graduating Brooklyn Center, Champlin Park, Maple Grove, Park Center and Osseo Senior High School and Osseo Area Learning Center.

The intent of this scholarship is to aid students who are in the process of furthering their education in order to pursue gainful employment within their field of study.

The scholarships are awarded on the basis of:

Your ability to communicate your career/educational objectives: through effective, thoughtful communication in your written essay and overall neatness and presentation of your application. The written essay will focus on the following:

Your career/education goals as they relate to becoming a member of the workforce and how you plan to achieve them.

• Academic achievement
• Employment history
• School activities
• Community activities
• Leadership positions

The Business Education Partnership Committee of the North Hennepin Area Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the availability of scholarships for one graduating senior each from Brooklyn Center, Champlin Park, Maple Grove, Osseo Senior, Park Center High Schools, and the Osseo Area Learning Center (OALC).   The scholarship process is coordinated by the Chamber Business Education Partnership committee.

SCHOLARSHIPS ARE AWARDED:
Based on your high school accomplishments and your ability to communicate your career/educational objectives through effective, thoughtful communication in your typed letter.  Applications will be judged based on the attached points system.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Applicant must be a graduating senior of Brooklyn Center, Champlin Park, Maple Grove, Osseo, Park Center Senior High, or the Osseo Area Learning Center (OALC).

DEADLINE DATE:
Applications must be completed and returned to the Career Resource Center by March 1*.

Continuing Education / Career Change Scholarship

The Business Education Partnership Committee of the North Hennepin Area Chamber of Commerce announces the availability of a $500 scholarship.

• Academic achievements
• Employment history
• Community activities
• Leadership experience
• Awards and/or Honors

The North Hennepin Area Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the availability of a continuing education scholarship. The scholarship process is coordinated by the Chamber Business Education Partnership Committee.

SCHOLARSHIP IS AWARDED:
Based on your accomplishments and your ability to communicate your career/educational objectives through effective, thoughtful communication in your application letter.  Applications will be judged based on the attached points system. 

QUALIFICATIONS:
Applicants must be enrolled at a post secondary school that is a member in good standing for more than one year with the North Hennepin Area Chamber of Commerce. Applicants must be out of high school for at least one year.

APPLICATIONS:
Application forms will be available through participating schools and through the Chamber website by October 1*.

*If this date falls on a weekend or holiday, the date then becomes the next business day.

The intent of this scholarship is to assist a high school graduate who is involved in or pursuing continuing education and is a resident or employee in the cities of Brooklyn Center, Brooklyn Park, Maple Grove, or Osseo, who has a desire to pursue a career intended to lead to employment within a business or the operation of a business.

The scholarships are awarded on the basis of:

Your career/education goals as they relate to becoming a member of the workforce and how you plan to achieve them.
