Scholarships

The goal of the Business Education Partnership Scholarships is to enable students to continue their education in the business field. Scholarships will be awarded to one qualifying student at each of the following schools:

  • Brooklyn Center Senior High
  • Champlin Park Senior High
  • Maple Grove Senior High
  • Osseo Senior High
  • Park Center Senior High
  • Hennepin Technical College
  • North Hennepin Community College

Student Scholarship

The Business Education Partnership Committee of the North Hennepin Area Chamber of Commerce announces the availability of five $500 scholarships for graduating Brooklyn Center, Champlin Park, Maple Grove, Park Center and Osseo Seniors.

The intent of this scholarship is to assist students who are pursuing a career that would lead to employment within a business or the operation of a business.

The scholarships are awarded on the basis of:

Your ability to communicate your career/educational objectives: through effective, thoughtful communication in your written essay and overall neatness and presentation of your application. The written essay will focus on the following:

Your career/education goals as they relate to becoming a member of the workforce and how you plan to achieve them.

  • Academic achievement
  • Employment history
  • School activities
  • Community activities
  • Leadership positions


An Applicant must be a graduating senior of Brooklyn Center, Champlin Park, Maple Grove, Park Center, or Osseo Senior High; desire to pursue a career that would lead to employment within a business or the operation of a business; with well-defined career/educational objectives; and plans to attend a Post-Secondary institution located in Minnesota.

Applications are available in the Career Resource Centers of Brooklyn Center, Champlin Park, Maple Grove, Park Center and Osseo High Schools beginning October 1st* and must be completed and returned to the Career Centers by March 1st*.

Scholarships will be presented to one qualifying student from each high school by May 30th at a North Hennepin Area Chamber of Commerce Members’ Luncheon.

Continuing Education / Career Change Scholarship

An Applicant must be a high school graduate who is involved in or pursuing continuing education and is a resident or employee in the cities of Brooklyn Center, Brooklyn Park, Maple Grove or Osseo. The applicant must demonstrate a desire to pursue a career intended to lead to employment within a business or the operation of a business, with well-defined career/educational objectives, and attend either Hennepin Technical College or North Hennepin Community College.

Applications are available at either Hennepin Technical College or North Hennepin Community College beginning October 1st* and must be completed and returned to the colleges by March 1st*.

Scholarships will be presented to one qualifying student from each college by May 30th at a North Hennepin Area Chamber of Commerce Members’ Luncheon.
