Letter to Members

My sincere gratitude for the warm welcome I have received coming in as the new chamber president. I would like to extend well wishes to my predecessor, Dave Looby on his new endeavor as the Executive Director of Visit Minneapolis North. I look forward to working with Dave in his new position. As well, I wish to thank Dave, staff and those members who were dedicated to growing and strengthening the chamber over the past ten years. It is evident that the collaborative efforts are reflected in the chamber's Program of Work, which demonstrates the ongoing attainment of the chamber's mission.

As for future plans, the chamber will continue to focus on new member growth and will develop a retention plan that will include the help of members and the staff. Membership sales is a daily activity, membership retention will be as well. Committee activity and participation will be reviewed and a few changes may take place that will enhance the status of committee development. The terrific networking opportunities of the chamber will continue to be a focus area.

Members and staff are busy planning State of the Cities luncheon scheduled for January 17th at Edinburgh and the Annual Winter Gala "An Evening to Remember" planned for Friday, February 1, 2008 at the Earle Brown Heritage Center. This event is the major fundraiser for the chamber. As in the past years, the annual Image of Excellent awards will be presented to three recipient businesses and one businessperson. I understand it is a well attended elegant evening. Please contact the chamber office for more information or refer to the chamber website www.nhachamber.com. We hope you will plan to join us.
I look forward to working with you

Most Sincerely,
Barbara Tuccitto Warren
